Look what I have found for all of you guys. Our society needs to be understood by us. Rules and regulations when we face controversy should be considered to eradicate dilemma

Origin of Prisoner Dilemma

Albert W. Tucker was an American mathematician who originally introduced the rational terms for the Prisoners' dilemma.

Significance of Prisoner’s dilemma

It would be a privilege to know about the facts behind the prisoner’s dilemma if you are willing to perform your best whenever you get trapped by the prisoner’s dilemma. In order to find the kinds of problems when you are dealing with the two-person noncooperative variable sum game, you should consider the illustrations of the prisoner’s dilemma.

What is Prisoner’s dilemma?

In prisoner’s dilemma, there are two prisoners, Prisoner A and Prisoner B, accused of committing robbery together. Both prisoners were kept in separate rooms and advised to confess.

Each of the prisoners is obsessed to make decisions without knowing the decision of others and both of them would use the strategies to produce the lowest possible penalty.

Decision and Payoffs

If both confess

Both will sentence for 2 years of imprisonment

If A confesses and B remains silent

A will get free for helping government in accessing evidence and B will get 5 Years of imprisonment

If B confesses and A remains silent

B will get free for helping government in accessing evidence and A will get 5 Years of imprisonment

If both remain silent

Both will get 1 year of imprisonment

Analysis of the celebrated concept of Prisoner’s Dilemma

Apparently, it is very simple that A doesn’t know what will B do?

Prisoner A knows that he will do his best to confess either B confesses (A will go to jail for 2 years) or B remains silent (A will not be punished) and the same conclusion goes for Prisoner B sitting in the next room.

Prisoners will do better if they choose to remain silent and they will do worse if they act selfishly.

Real Life reflections of Prisoner’s Dilemma

PD is not limited to hypothetical assumptions but is applicable to real-life problems. For instance, two shopkeepers engage themselves in a price war then they are caught in a prisoner’s dilemma.

Shopkeeper A will lower its price to attract more customers, in order to retaliate against A, shopkeeper B will lower the prices and both will get negligible customers and end up having low profits.

There are numerous real-life phenomenons involving prisoner’s dilemmas are there can be discussed but I don’t want to bore you. Mandatory concepts are now at your fingertips which is my primary goal.

Prisoner’s Dilemma redemption

Cooperation, cooperation and cooperation is the key.
